Isabel Rebecca Rebarchick, 89, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024 at Medstar St. Mary's Hospital with her husband at her side.

She was born in Clarksville, Maryland on February 14, 1935, she was the loving daughter of the late Charles Edward Grimes and Bessie May (Burian) Grimes-Schmidt.

Isabel met and married the love of her life, Dale Francis Rebarchick on May 17, 1980 in Gaithersburg, Maryland and together they celebrated 44 wonderful years of marriage.

Isabel enjoyed camping with a travel trailer and had been across the US several times. She also had a special location near Gettysburg, PA where she spent a great deal of time after retiring.

Isabel was a retired Postmaster. She served as postmaster in the Broomes Island PO and the Lusby PO in Calvert County and the Great Mills PO in St. Mary's County, where she retired.

Isabel is survived by her devoted husband, Dale, and four children, Guy Broyles Jr. of Mount Airy, MD, Dora Butler of NC, Cindy Gibbons of Jacksonville, FL and Jennifer Hawse of Prince George, VA and her ten grandchildren, Jeffery Broyles, Becky Broyles, Alexandria Gibbons, Victoria Gibbons, Cody Butler, Shane Butler, Josie Fitzwater, Dakota Rebarchick, Devon Rebarchick and William Hawse, and six great grandchildren, and her sister Rose Valentine of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ellen Mattingly and Grace Howes, and her brother Charles Grimes Jr.

Family will receive friends on December 17, 2024 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Edward (Ted) Hegnauer on December 17, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 21370 Newtowne Neck Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will follow the Mass at Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD.

Serving as Pallbearers will be: Cody Butler, Shane Butler, JD Blackwell, Ben Ragstead, Denny Perry and Dakota Rebarchick.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 299, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
