Hill, Antoinette Grace
Birth: Friday, August 13, 1948
Residence: Mechanicsville, MD
Death: Wednesday, November 06, 2024 at the age of 76
On November 6, 2024, Antoinette "Toni" Grace Hill, 76, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away at home, surrounded by her loved ones, and with her husband, Bruce, holding her hand. Toni was born on August 13, 1948 in Washington, DC, and was raised by loving parents Wiliam and Antoinette Collins.

After graduating from Northwestern High School in 1966, she worked in Washington DC, for NAVSEA. She met Bruce soon after, and they were married on Feb. 22, 1969. They were blessed with two daughters, Christine Hill of Waldorf, MD, and Sheri Schwaner (Jack) of Mechanicsville, MD.

Toni was a stay at home mom for many years, before becoming a Pharmacy Technician for Village Drug Store.

Toni was quick witted and could make anyone laugh with her colorful commentary. She was the master of the Campbell's Soup Cookbook in the 1970's and 1980's, and she loved making authentic Italian spaghetti sauce (gravy) from scratch. And her fried chicken was delicious. She was also an avid gamer in the 1980's, always keeping the highest Atari score in the house in Frogger and Centipede. She loved music (Barry Manilow and Elvis were always her favorites), and loved listening to the song "Let's Hear it for the Boy" always dedicating it to her husband, Bruce.

In her later years Toni loved to read a good book and watch her favorite TV shows. She loved spending her evenings watching her favorite British TV series, reading, or doing crossword puzzles.

Toni was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her beloved husband, daughters, brother Anthony Stea of Okatie, SC, sister Amelia Stearns of Gainesville, VA, and 2 amazing grandchildren that were her world, and she loved them with all of her heart, Katie Schwaner and Johnny Schwaner.

Toni faced many health challenges throughout her life, but she had a strong will and the heart of a lion. Her life ended peacefully, with all of her wishes honored by Bruce after her passing. May she rest in eternal peace.
