Donald Kenneth Taylor 88 of White Plains, MD passed away on Tuesday June 25, 2024, at his home.

Kenneth was born on March 10, 1936, in Washington, DC to the late Owen Taylor, Sr. and Ethel Taylor. He is also predeceased by his daughter, Terri Leigh Taylor, and his brother, Charles Taylor.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Mildred Taylor; son, Arnold Bowling (Theresa); daughters, Marilyn Edelen and Penny Maddox (Steve); brother, Watson Taylor; grandchildren, Shannon Bowling (Lauren), Cyndi Payne, John Edelen (Katie), Valerie Leigh Maddox and Stephanie Maddox (Carl Cicchetti); great grandchildren, Knox Bowling, Easton Bowling, Maggie Bowling, Bryce Edelen, Ryan Edelen, Charlie Priest, Evelyn Cicchetti, Maddox Cicchetti, Ava Cicchetti and Isaac Cicchetti. He also had several nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

Kenneth retired as Lead Foreman from Blue Plains WWTP May 31, 1993, after 37 years of service. He graduated from Oxon Hill High School. Kenneth was also a lifetime member of the Oxon Hill Volunteer Fire Department and was known to be very kind and sweet.

The family will receive friends on Friday July 5, 2024, at Kneeling Point Chapel (9690 Shepherd Creek Pl. LaPlata, MD 20646) from 10 AM until service time at 12 noon. Interment to follow at the Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman Beantown Rd. Waldorf, MD 20601).

Pallbearers will be John Edelen, Shannon Bowling, Brian Shannon, Steve Maddox, Charlie Taylor and Bryce Edelen.

Honorary bearers will be Richard Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, Roland Ziegler, Gene Padgett, Bob Wallace, Don Moreland, Ryan Edelen, Charlie Priest, Knox Bowling and Easton Bowling.
