Charles Cordell Vinson, Jr., 40, of Waldorf, MD, died March 25, 2009.
Mr. Cordell was an HVAC mechanic and formerly a Deputy Sherriff with Roan County, TN. He was a CB Radio Operator and known as "Charlie, the big guy". He had a big heart and loved being with his family. Born September 21, 1968, in Cheverly, MD, he was the son of the late Charles C. Vinson, Sr. and Brenda Ruth Hampton. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Michelle L. Vinson; daughters, Chelsy Vinson and Brethany Jones of Waldorf, MD; brothers, Jason Johnson of White Plains, MD; Jodie Johnson of North Beach, MD; Joshua Vinson of Waldorf, MD; paternal grandfather, Isaac A. Vinson of TN. Visitation will be March 30, 2009, 2-4PM and 6-8PM, at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Funeral Service will be March 31, 2009, 11AM, at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD. Pallbearers will be Jason Johnson, Jodie Johnson, Joshua Vinson, Erik Madison, Anthony Bryant, and Stanley Irason. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charles Vinson, Jr. Memorial Fund.
