Edward Corey Wilson ("CDUBB"), 46 of Lexington Park, MD departed this life at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital , Washington, DC, December 8, 2023. He was the oldest of two sons to the late Edward Clarence Wilson and Delores Harris Wilson. He was born, September 16, 1977.

Corey was a former member of First Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized at the age of twelve. He was a member of Sunday School and the children's choir. He also performed in the church's Christmas plays. Corey participated in county sports with the St. Mary's County Parks & Recreation. He played T-ball, Little League softball, basketball and he was also involved in karate classes. Starting in May 1991, Corey was an Heir Link with the Southern Maryland Chain Chapter, The Links Incorporated. Heir Links are children of Links, for his mom is a member of the Chapter. He also participated in the Chapter's community youth programs.

Corey received his education in the St. Mary's County Public Schools. He graduated from Great Mills High School in 1995. After high school, he attended the College of Southern Maryland.

Corey's work experience included various job opportunities through his early twenties. While working at Taco Bell, he had to retire due to illness at the age of twenty-five. Once in a fun conversation with his buddy, Derek, Corey was asked, had he started receiving his "old man" checks? Between the two of them, this became a joke and nickname for his Buddy.

Corey was a "HAPPY GO LUCKY" person who LOVED everybody. He had a smile like the MIGHTY SUN, BIG and BRIGHT. His laugh was infectious and he loved to make you laugh at his jokes at family gatherings. Many of his jokes involved his "Dlo." He was also a sports fanatic who loved all of Philadelphia's teams. The Philadelphia EAGLES was his favorite and he believed, "WIN OR LOSE the EAGLES BLEED GREEN!"

Corey was preceded in death by his father, Edward Clarence Wilson; grandparents, E.C. (Gertrude Sullivan) Wilson and James (Annie Bell Mingo) Harris; uncles, Cleophus Jay (CJ) Mingo and Floyd Harris; Godfather, John T. Bradford, Jr.; aunts, Betty Harris Holley, Cinderella Harris Dooley and Tammy Duncan Reed.

Corey leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and loving mother, Delores Harris Wilson (Dlo); his brother, Keith (Keithie) Lamar Wilson; bonus sister, Jackie (Jerry) Butler; bonus brother, Brandon (Yshana) Griffin; Godsisters, Keona Mack, Joya McClane, Jerin Truesdale; bonus nephew, JaRon Butler; Godmother, Mary Bradford; uncles, Larry Wilson, Geroy (Larlene) Mingo, Shermon (Talisa) Harris, James Jr. (Tonya) Harris, Odell (Jannie) Harris, Lloyd (Angela) Harris, Ernest (Sandra) Duncan, Jimmy (Sherie) Duncan; bonus uncle, Robert Barnes; aunts, Patricia Wilson Easley, Sylvia Lee Wilson, Recia Lynn Wilson, Brinda Harris Truesdale, Adell Harris Robinson, Cynthia Duncan, bonus aunts, Janie (Michael) Griffin, Elfreda T. Mathis, Janice T. (Larry) Walthour; great aunts, Gertrude Mingo Wilson, Olie Ree Shropshire, Rosetta Brown, and a host of other family and many friends.

Family and friends will unite on Saturday, December 16, 2023 for visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.; services from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 46370 Pegg Lane, Lexington Park, MD 20653. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 22020 Chancellors Run Road, Great Mills, MD 20634.
