John "Alfred" Trossbach 85, of Hollywood, MD passed away at his home on Saturday, March 14, 2009.

Born November 19, 1923 in Dameron, MD, he was the son of the late William Otto and Mary Rosalie (Hammett) Trossbach. Mr. Trossbach was life long St. Mary's County farmer. He also loved go fox hunting with his dogs and to go dancing.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Marie (Aud) Trossbach, five daughters; Mary Agnes Burroughs of Avenue, MD, Linda Teresa Owens of Leonardtown, MD, Hazel Marie Trossbach, Ann Cecilia Trossbach, Catherine B. Trossbach all of Hollywood, MD four sons; Thomas A. Trossbach, Robert L. Trossbach of Leonardtown, MD, Frank I. Trossbach, Roy A. Trossbach of Hollywood, MD, three sisters; Alberta Goddard, Margaret Goddard of Leonardtown, MD, Teresa Rowand of Dameron, MD and one brother, William "Billy" Trossbach of Dameron, MD. Also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, 43927 St. John's Road, Hollywood, MD 20636. Rev. Ray Schmidt will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
