Frances (Franny) Ann Cullison, 82 of Ridge, MD, passed away on June 22, 2023 at St. Mary's Nursing home, with her loving family at her side.

Franny was born on February 23rd, 1941 in Leonardtown, MD to the late Bernard and Frances Christine (Aud) Stone. She was a lifelong resident of St. Mary's County and grew up in St. Inigoes, MD. She graduated from St. Michael's High School in June of 1959 and was the owner and operator of Fran's Beauty Shop in St. Inigoes, Maryland.

On April 2nd, 1977 she married the love of her life, John (Jack) Gregory Cullison, of Ridge Maryland. They celebrated 46 wonderful years together.

Franny joined the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad in 1964 and was an active member for over 50 years. She served in various positions in the squad including, Past Chief, Past President, Life Member and numerous committees. She was very active in the planning and rebuilding of the new rescue squad building after the former building was destroyed by fire.

Franny was very active at St. Michael's Church, in Ridge, MD. She was a member of the church choir for numerous years and was also a Eucharistic minister for a number of years. After retirement her and her husband enjoyed camping and went on numerous camping trips and bus trips and enjoyed their Golden Years together. Franny had a great love for Shelties and raised many over her lifetime. Her fondest memories of them were Muff and most recently "her girls" Rosie and Susie. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she collected numerous Christmas items and Sheltie collectables.

Franny is survived by her husband, John (Jack) Gregory Cullison, an aunt, Betty Ann Norris, numerous cousins, a brother-in-law Joseph Pat Cullison, sister-in-law Varrina Yost and Jack's numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with prayers celebrated by Father Peter Giovanoni at 7:00 p.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 6th, 2023 at 11:00 AM by Father Peter Giovanoni with Msgr. Karl Chimiak con-celebrating, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 16566 Three Notch Road, Ridge, MD 20680. Interment will follow immediately in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kee Abell, Wade Cullison, Clint Yost, Frances Raley, David Lowe and Allen Raley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O.
