Scott Michael Gingras passed away unexpectedly at his home in Milford, Delaware on April 9, 2023. Scott was born in Washington, DC on July 27, 1954 to Olive Mae "Dolly" Carr and William Phillip Gingras. He was raised in Rockville, Md. with his sister Judy and brother Eric.

He was a graduate of Peary High School and received his BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland in 1977, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.

Scott was a lifelong musician, playing in several bands around the DMV, and was a faithful practitioner of SGI Nichiren Buddhism. Scott worked at Davenport Insulation in Upper Marlboro, Md. for more than 40 years before retiring in 2018.

He is survived by his wife Linda, of 25 years; daughter Angelique Gingras; brother Eric Gingras; sister Judy Fry; and loving extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill (1929-2016) and Dolly (1927-2009).

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Blackwall Barn & Lodge in Gambrills, Md. on May 20 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to the World Wildlife Fund in his name.
