Joel Dean Castle, 67, of Welcome, MD, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD.

Mr. Castle worked for Delancy Printing in Crystal City, VA, as a Press Foreman for 40 years. He was a member of the Printers Union Local Union No. 72C in Washington, DC, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, especially spending time with his family and his favorite dog, Little Bit.

Born May 31, 1941, in Dickenson County, VA, he was the son of the late James Albert Castle and the late Velvia Delola Martin Castle.

Survived by his wife Paula L. Castle; three sons James Dean and his wife Lara Castle, Michael Todd Castle and Matthew Wayne Castle; his sister Phyllis Castle and her husband Harry Lancelotti; brothers, Jerry Lane and his wife Sandy Castle and Mitchell Clyde and his wife Donna Castle; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2009, from 10AM until service time at 12Noon at the Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD. Reverend Woody Caudle will officiate.

Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers will be Mark Castle, Jimmy Castle, Jason Wilburn, Jeffrey Stankovich, Cory Leiphart, and Bill Garrett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Castle and Clyde Castle.
