On February 19, 2009, William Patrick Ticer, 30, died after being struck by an automobile near his home in Waldorf, MD. Born in Clinton, MD, he was raised in Fort Washington and attended high school at Oxon Hill Senior High before graduating from Zion Lutheran High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1996.

Following service in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Ashland, he returned to Maryland where he was employed as a waiter and bartender at various restaurants in the Waldorf area until 2006, when he relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL. He returned to Maryland in 2008. He was a devoted father to his son, Damien Patrick Ticer.

In addition to his son, he is survived by his mother, Catherine M. Gavin of Ft. Lauderdale, his father, Wilmer R. Ticer, and stepmother, Brenda M. Ticer of Port Tobacco, MD, and Billie J. Morgan, his son's mother.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 from 5-8pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

A Funeral Service will follow on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 10am at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Clergy will be Father Robert Kosty.

Interment will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
