Colleen Doray Chappelear, 65, of La Plata, MD, died February 7, 2009, at Charles County Nursing and Rehab Center, La Plata, MD.

Mrs. Chappelear was a staff assistant in the tax division in the Department of Justice for 30 years. She was a 1961 graduate of Suitland High School and a La Plata resident for over 40 years. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and swimming in her backyard pool.

Born September 9, 1943, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Raymond C. High and the late Doris Powers High.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother Lawrence High.

Survived by her daughter, Stacey Chappelear and her husband Earl of Star Tannery, VA; sister, Joyce and her husband Bill Donley of MI.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 14, 2009, from 2PM to 3PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 14 at 3PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Reverend Mark Roberson will officiate.

Interment will be private.
