Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth R, Ashby; father of Bill Ashby, Marty Miles and Mary Parrisn; grandfather of Erin, Katy and Will. He is also survived by sisters Martha Carr, Nancy Milloy; and brother Clark Ashby. He was preceded in death by her sister Mary Griffin.

A celebration of his life was held at the scientists' Cliffs community House, Port Republic on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 from 12 to 2 p.m.

Born June 14, 1920 to the late William Wallace and Mary C. Little Ashby.
