Richard Allen "Rick" Curtis, 77 of Waldorf, MD passed on Monday, April 25, 2022.
He was born on March 12, 1945 in Washington, D.C to the late Ethel Katherine Curtis (Rich) and the late Benjamin Hamilton Curtis. Rick was a veteran of the Navy serving for five years during the Vietnam war. Rick worked for Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) for over forty-five years where he made many friends and memories that lasted with him through retirement. He was a part of the Civil War Round Table, and loved spending most of his time in different departments at church. Rick was a part of the First Baptist Church in Waldorf, he loved to be there and a part of the church. When at home he enjoyed woodworking and watching racecars. He is survived by his loving wife Alma Curtis of 52 years, son David Curtis, daughter in law Kristan, daughter Katherine Stethem, son in law Patrick, seven grandchildren Gabrielle, Genevieve, Robert, Emily, Benjamin, Christian and Ethan, along with many other friends and relatives. A visitation will be held on May 24,2022 from 11:00am until time of Service at 12:00pm at First Baptist Church of Waldorf; 10045 Bunker Hill Rd, Waldorf, MD 20603. Interment will take place at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery also on May 24, 2022 at 1:45pm. |
