Marion Wigstrom Nelson, 97, of Solomons, Md. and formerly of Princeton, NJ passed away on March 27, 2022 at the Asbury Health Care Center.

Born September 19, 1924 in Plainfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Nils Reinhold Wigstrom and Stina Margareta (Almberg) Wigstrom.

Marion graduated from Plainfield High School. She graduated from Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing in 1946 and worked for Muhlenberg Hospital until June 1955. Marion enjoyed all forms of creative art including, paint, sculpture and needlework, but most of all she enjoyed her family and living a full life. She was a member of the Solomons Island Yacht Club, Trinity Methodist Church, Prince Frederick and Olivet Methodist Church.

Marion is survived by her children, Joel Nelson (Joyce) of Wolfeboro, NH, Elizabeth Davis of Lusby, Md. and David Nelson of Hamilton, NJ; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death on September 7, 2010 by her husband, Walter Peter Nelson, whom she married in Chicago, IL on June 12, 1944.
