Edmund Lee Wooddy- "Ed" 63, was born March 7,1959 to Dr. Arthur Overton Wooddy and Frances Louise Rossiter.
Ed grew up in Charles County and lived in Waldorf MD. As a young child, Ed participated with HARC and attended several private schools. Ed was one of the original participants at Spring Dell Center, being part of that family for more then 50 years. Ed held several jobs over the years, primarily in the custodial field. He took pride in always doing a good job. Ed developed dee friendships with people and kept those relationships through his life time; he didn't forget a friendly face and he left a lasting impact on all he knew. Ed was a vibrant, jovial, loving man. He thoroughly enjoyed all genres of music but was especially fond of Elvis and the Beatles. He loved the Lawrence Welk Show and liked to play his instruments along with the show. Ed loved to dance, joke, and tease his friends and especially loved the ladies. Ed was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his beloved brother Chip Wooddy and his sister Clara Brown. He also leaves many extended family and friends to cherish his memory. Prior to her death, Ed loved to spend time with his mother and brother in Annapolis. Ed had many lifelong friends at Spring Dell Center that he considered his family. Ed loved others deeply and brought joy and laughter to those around him. Those that had the pleasure of having Ed in their lives are better for having him. Ed was one of a kind and will be dearly missed.
