Doris Ann Ramos, 78 of Leonardtown, MD died on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at St. Mary's Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD.

Born October 16, 1930 in Irvington, Virginia she was the daughter of the late William Dyke, Sr. and Ellen (Tate) Dyke. Mrs. Ramos and her husband the late Lenwood Carroll "Sookie" Ramos who died on December 24, 2006 were owners of the Town Cleaners in Leonardtown, MD from 1968 until their retirement in 1987. They were also founding members of the Leonardtown Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ramos is survived by two sons, John Michael "Mickey" Ramos and his wife, Gloria of Leonardtown, MD and Dr. Carroll Leslie Ramos and his wife, Margaret of Weatherford, OK,
three grandchildren; Harmony Ramos Ferris of Baltimore, MD, Jo Hanna Ramos Shriver of California, MD and Nicholas C. Ramos of Weatherford, OK., two great-grandchildren Cooper H. Ferris and Ava Shriver. She also predeceased by a two sister; Evelyn Hutt, Virginia Dyke and two brothers; John Dyke and William Dyke, Jr.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 10:00 to11:00 a.m. in the Leonardtown Baptist Church, 23520 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Mark Dooley and associate pastor John Fields will officiate. Interment will follow in the Charles Memorial Gardens.
