FRERE, Mary Jane on January 12, 2009, passed at Civista Hospital in La Plata Maryland.

Widow of John Frere Sr., Beloved mother of John Jr., Judy and J.B., devoted Grandmother of eleven and fifteen great grand children.

Mary Jane was an active member of St. Ignatius Church, Chapel Point whereby parishioners and visitors alike for years have admired her influence in the creation of the Blessed Mother Shrine and beautiful holiday Church decorations.

Mary Jane was also a Member of Saint Joseph's Secular Carmel of Port Tobacco, Catholic Daughters of America and former Serra Club member. Mary Jane was retired from many years at the Charles County Board of Education and the FBI.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, 2009 from 2 to 4p.m.and 6 to 8p.m. at St. Ignatius Church Chapel Point, 8855 Chapel Point Rd, Port Tobacco, MD 20677 (301)934-8245, where a Catholic Wake service will be conducted. Funeral Mass and Interment will be held at St. Ignatius Church Chapel Point on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 11:00am.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name for the maintenance and upkeep of the Blessed Mother Shrine located on the Church grounds.
