Kathleen Clarke Bonifas 80, of Lexington Park, MD, died December 31, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD

Mrs. Bonifas was born August 29, 1928 in Lansing, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Robert Edward Clarke and Hilda Victoria Denham Clarke.

She was a printer and had worked for Michigan Trucking Association and Michigan State University, she then moved to Florida in 1976 where she worked for the Sarasota Health Department until retiring in 1996 after 15 years of service. She moved to Maryland in 2002 and enjoyed crafts of all kinds especially crocheting.

Mrs. Bonifas is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Butler of Lexington Park, MD, two sons; Rodney A. Rose of Uniontown, Ohio and Rick Rose of Estero, Florida. Also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Bonifas was predeceased by her husband Donald Bonifas who died in September 1999 and brother, Edward Clarke

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD. Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 7th at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Robert Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Episcopal Cemetery, St. Mary's City, MD with Rod Rose, Steve Butler, Matthew Butler, James Butler, Joshua Keller-Ward and George Eble serving as pallbearers.
