Sylvia Keaton Trawick, 72 of Mechanicsville, Maryland died January 1, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.
Born April 22, 1936 in Athens, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Fred Dolphard Keaton and Burma Milton Keaton Ennis. Mrs. Keaton has resided in this area for 35 years. Mrs. Trawick was a secretary with the FBI and Naval Oceanic graphic with the Federal Government before becoming a homemaker. Her mission in life was spoiling her grandchildren. Tea parties with her granddaughter were special. She volunteered with her Church and was also a bookkeeper. She enjoyed her flower garden, shopping and kept an immaculate house. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Fred Keaton. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles Eugene Trawick, and sons Scott Randall Trawick and Allen Douglas Trawick (Nancy); brother, Bill Keaton (Ernestine); sister, Shirley Long (Ralph) and grandchildren, Kenneth Anthony and Emily Denise Trawick. Sylvia's Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Hughesville Baptist Church, 8505 Leonardtown Rd., Hughesville, MD where a Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11AM with pastors Keith Corrick and Kevin Cullins officiating.
