David Gallant Shriver, 61 of Mechanicsville, MD died on December 26, 2008 at Georgetown University Hospital. Born on March 27, 1947 in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late Woodrow Albert and Mary Ann Gallant Shriver.

Mr. Shriver moved from College Park, MD to Mechanicsville in July 16, 1981. He attended University of Maryland, Lambuth College in Jackson, Tennessee, and Catholic University Law School. Mr. Shriver was an Attorney at his own law firm in Mechanicsville. His enjoyments were; watching football, boxing, hunting and fishing, especially groundhogs and fishing in Allan's fresh pond. He also watched CSI and the Food Network and liked cooking special recipes.

Survived by his wife of 32 years, Helen Irene Coller Shriver, two sons, Christopher W. Shriver, and Daniel J. Shriver,(Amanda) , brother, Jack (Carol) Shriver, sister, Sheral (Joseph) St. Clair, mothers-in-law, Helen Henry and Bernice Coller, grandchildren, Alexander, Gavin, and Cadence Shriver, and also many other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends to Celebrate David's Life on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 from 5-8PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where Services will be held at 7PM. Interment Private.
