Florence Parry, 91, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on January 21, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 26, 1929 in Hammonton, NJ, to the late Dominic Damiano and Mary (Rodeo) Mazzio.

Florence married the love of her life, James Richard Parry and they spent 43 wonderful years of marriage together in Waldorf, MD until his passing in April, 2015. Florence loved her husband and missed him every day they were separated.

She loved her family more than anything and was happiest when surrounded by her daughter, grandson and her pets. Florence was a hard-working woman who worked until she was 83. She cast a bright light on this world and she will always be remembered through the precious memories she made with her friends and family. A wonderful cook, her family looked forward to her culinary talents, especially, her green bean stew and ice box cake. If you were lucky enough to be invited for dinner you never walked away hungry or without a smile on your face and laughter in the air.

For all of her good deeds, Florence bestowed upon family, friends and strangers, her family is taking solace in knowing she has earned her angel wings.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Pate of Mechanicsville, MD; her grandsons, Louis Berenato and Grant Anthony Pate; siblings: Marie Nye of Waterford, NJ and Frankie Damiano of Atco, NJ; and daughter-in-law, Marie Ruhland. In addition to her parents and loving husband, Florence is preceded in death by her son, Louie Berenato and siblings, Peter Damiano, Donald Damiano, Dominic and "Junior" Damiano.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 25, for a visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Interment will be held privately.
