Leola Ennis Worrell was born on January 21, 1914 in Rison, Maryland to the late James Ennis and the late Indian Anna Hart Ennis.

She grew up in Rison, Maryland and attended the public schools of Charles County, Maryland.

Leola left the Charles County, Maryland area and made her home in Baltimore, Maryland where she met and later married the late William James Worrell.

She was employed with the Baltimore County School Board as a Custodian and remained a dedicated employee until she retired.

Leola loved listening to gospel music, cooking and spending time with her family. She often held family gatherings at her home and would have the children participate in preparing the meal. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, puzzles and going to Church. Aunt Dee as she was more affectionately called was an outgoing person and enjoyed being in the company of her family, friends and neighbors.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sons, Walter and Butch, daughter-in-law, Pat, sisters, Ella Mae Ennis, Isabella Jackson, Parfine Hart, Blanche Dorsey, Christine Cole, Harriett Andre and Violene Ennis, brothers ,Walter, Herman and Willie Ennis.

Peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2008 at her home in Rison, Maryland and in the presence of her devoted niece, Minnie (Romaine Savoy), Aunt Dee transition from this earthly life to life eternal.

Left to cherish fond memories are: a daughter-in-law, Emma Worrell, granddaughter, Brandy Worrell, devoted niece, Minnie (Romaine Savoy) devoted nephew, Sonny (William Proctor), two special friends, Gloria and Ada of Baltimore, Maryland and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Her Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 9:30 am until time of Service, 11:00 am at Thornton Funeral Home Chapel, 3439 Livingston Road, (State Route #227, Pomonkey), Indian Head, Maryland. Her Interment will be in Alexandria United Methodist Church Cemetery, Rison, Maryland.
