A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 9:30AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Shadwell officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 10, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 PM with prayers being said at 6:30 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home.

Mary Estelle "Stellie" Neal, 88, of Leonardtown, MD formerly of California, MD died November 6, 2006 in Leonardtown, MD. Born August 1, 1918 in California, MD she was the daughter of the late Joseph Bowen and Mary Bennett. She was the loving wife of the late Frank Parren whom she married on September 3, 1938 in St. Aloysius and preceded her in death on September 15, 2002.

She is survived by her children James Walter of Hollywood, MD, Alice Neal Showell of Bowie, MD and George Ignatius of Forestville, MD. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son John Francis.

She attended Bannaker High School and later for worked at St. Mary's Hospital where she was an operating room aid for thirty years until her retirement on June 1966. She enjoyed gardening, canning, playing cards, music, social events, watching the soaps and cooking shows.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 10, 2006 from 5:00- 8:00 in Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A with prayers being said at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 11, 2006 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in with Fr.Shadwell officiating.

Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jay Neal, James H. Johnson, John S. Thompson, Gregory Jackson, Louis Thomas, Jr. and Larry Harley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Louis Thomas, Sr., William Hebb, Harry Mason, Sergeo Neal, Carlos Neal and Caleb Jackson.
