Floyd Allen Cooksey, 82, of La Plata, MD passed away on November 26, 2008.

He is preceded in death by his parents; William A. Cooksey and Hester Penn Cooksey. Brother; Howard Cooksey. Sisters; Alma Mitchell, and Millie Mollan. And his late wife; Jane Cooksey.

He is survived by his Sons; William A. Cooksey, and James R. Cooksey. Daughters; Janice Clements, and Catherine E. McLain. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Grandchild, and many Nieces and Nephews.

There will be a Life Celebration at AREHART-ECHOLS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. on Monday, December 1, 2008 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm with prayers at 7 pm. A Mass will be on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 am with burial to follow at the Church Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Charles County or the CCNRC Family Of Care.
