Dora Louise Kitchen, 80 of Waldorf, MD, passed away on November 24, 2008 at Civista Medical Center. LaPlata, MD.
Born august 12, 1928 in Wyoming, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Byron and Melinda Charlotte Shouldice Sutton. Mrs. Kitchen was a homemaker; she enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, crocheting, cookouts, being around her family and knitting hats and scarves for the Children's Aid Society. Dora was a past member of the Waldorf Moose. Mrs. Kitchen is survived by her daughters: Becky L. Zis, (Jim), Pamela J. Portzen, (Mike), Cindy L. Allen, (Ron) and Linda B. Atchinson, (Roger), sisters: Phyllis Piatt and Carol Swanson, also survived by grandchildren Nikki, Jeni and Billy Zis, Mike Portzen, Jamie Hare, Chris Portzen, Katie and Melissa Coleman, Richard, Rhonda and Renee Allen, Randi Eckard, and Chris Atchinson, and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents Mrs. Kitchen was preceded in death by her husband William Archie Kitchen and one sister Melinda Parker. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 1, 2008 from 6 to 8pm in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 7pm with Reverend Ken McDonald officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 10am in Arlington National Cemetery.
