Elizabeth Suzanna (Sue) LeRoy, 88 of St. Mary's City, MD.

Sue LeRoy died peacefully in her sleep on November 26, 2008 at her home. Sue was born in Iola, Kansas on May 14, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Walter M. and Alice Steele Davis.

Sue served as faithful Navy wife, and worked in the St. Mary's County public school system. She retired from St. Mary's College of Maryland. Sue shared her love and gift of music with the St. Mary's County community for many years. Those who knew her will remember her with a smile because Sue loved a good joke, and was a consummate storyteller.

She married her husband John D. LeRoy, Jr. on May 13, 1945. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Charles Kidd of Santa Suzanna, CA. She has two children, Susan Long, (Peter) of Vienna, VA and John W. LeRoy, (Nancy) of Owings, MD, three grandchildren; Heather Glockner, (Scott) of Hollywood, MD, Elizabeth DeLoach, (Tom) of Charlotte, NC and John W. Leroy, Jr., (Kellee) of Jacksonville, NC, also survived by five great-grandchildren, Thomas, Adam and Andrew DeLoach, Brooke Glockner and Logan LeRoy.

Family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, 2008 from 9 to 11am in Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Mary's City, MD, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11am with Reverend John Ball officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
