Shirley L. McCall, 73, of St. Mary's City, MD died on November 5, 2008 at home.

Born September 19, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Lottie M. Williams. She retired from the Maryland Independent in 1992, and loved to do part time bindery and hand collating work for various print shops. She loved to sing and dance and to spend time with her family. She is survived by her children, Victor Hagy and wife Sondra of Summerduck, VA, Chris Hagy and wife Cindy from Indian Head, MD, Kevin Hagy, Sr. of Bryans Road, MD, Ginnie Freeman of St. Marys City, MD, and Marty McCall from Waldorf, MD, sisters Barbara Arnold of White Plains, MD and Nina Wilkerson of Sharptown, MD, 16 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late James E. Hagy and the late Lawrence M. McCall. She was also preceded in death by her sister Betty Purdy of St. Mary's City and by her son Jimmy Hagy and daughter in Law Senia Hagy.

Family will receive friends on Friday, November 14, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 47477 Trinity Church Road, St. Mary's City, MD 20686. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend John A. Ball officiating. Inurnment will follow in St. John's Episcopal Cemetery, Broad Creek, MD.
