Daniel Adam Kurek, 89, of St. Leonard, MD passed away on October 22, 2008 in Prince Frederick, MD.

Beloved husband of Ellen R. Kurek, devoted father of Mary Ellen Romney, Gerard W. Kurek, Nancy E. Scott, and Jayne R. Hopkins. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday October 26, 2008 from 4-6 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday October 27, 2008, 11 AM at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church 7185 Benedict Ave., Benedict, MD. Interment will follow in Waters Memorial Cemetery, St. Leonard, MD.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either St. Judes Children's Hospital or St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church.
