During the outgoing of Evening Tide, the night of October 18, 2008 our beloved Wesley Dewitt Bush embarked on a new journey. He sailed out into deep waters to meet the Old Ship of Zion and came to rest on a peaceful shore.

Wesley Dewitt Bush was born January 27, 1969 in Leonardtown, Maryland. He was the oldest son of Alice Kay Briscoe. Wesley received his education in St. Mary's County parochial and public school system. He was a 1987 graduate of Choption High School. After graduation Wesley worked with Local 657 (formerly 456) Labor International Union. After obtaining his commercial drivers license he worked for UTZ, Stholman Bread Company, and Davenport Insulation. He was last employed with Sheehan Pipeline Construction Company as a tanker driver, and joined the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 639. He loved his job and his co-workers.

Wings On The Go, a mobile food vending business owned by Wesley and his wife is where he thrived. He would greet all of the customers who came to the window with a handshake or a great big smile. He was in his element when he was working, most of the time he'd be laughing and cutting up with the customers instead of taking orders.

On July 20th, 2005 Wesley stole away to beautiful Montego Bay, Jamaica, and married the love of his life Lynn Medley. This was truly a match made in heaven. You never saw one without the other and they were always laughing and happy. He made sure he called her four or five times a day just to say "Your Husband Loves You". They had the type of union and bond that most desire and others only dream about.

Wesley loved spending time with his wife, granddaughter, family, and his dog Mugzie. He loved to travel and always had to be doing something. He always kept in touch with his friends and family on a daily basis and never forgot a birthday. Wesley was an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan and would display his loyalty to the team by wearing their jerseys and caps all year around. Wesley made friends everywhere he went. He was a bubbly, friendly person and prided himself on being a good and caring human being.

We will miss Wesley's laugh, his phone calls, and smile the most. He was a peace maker and a comforter. He was the glue that held us together, a soft spoken gentle giant.

Wesley is survived by his mother Alice Kay, devoted wife Lynn; stepson Patrick (Jarvis) Medley (Theresa); grand-daughter Anijah, his dog Mugzie; one brother Alex Bowman; one sister Wendy Morgan (Stephen); Mother-in-Law Geraldine June; aunts Brenda Barnes, Mary Jane Bush, Lorraine Kennedy (Howard); and uncles Charles Bush (Grace), Thomas Bush, Rudy Medley. Preceding him in death were his grandparents Robert Sr. & Jean Bush, uncles Robert (Bobby), Michael, and Anthony Bush; and his aunt Bedelia Goldring. In addition to his loving family, he leaves behind a host of special friends Brian Briscoe, Ricky Thomas, Robert Williams, Mark Woodland, Melvin Edwards, John Goldring, Doo Bowman, Burt Jenifer and Gus.

Family will receive friend in the Celebration of Wesley's Life on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 8:30-10:30AM in Our Lady of the Wayside, 37575 Chaptico Rd., Chaptico, MD where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM.
