Martha Custis Cannon Striegel, 66, of Waldorf, MD, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008.

Mrs. Striegel was a medical technician for 25 years, recently with OB/GYN Associates of Waldorf, MD. She was also a paralegal with T. Myron Lloyd law offices in Waldorf, MD. She was a lector at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pomfret, MD. Enjoyed being a grandmother to five grandchildren and was known for her stone ground bread.

Daughter of the late James Patterson Cannon and the late Laura Peter Cannon.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Striegel; one son, Michael L. Striegel and his wife Ann of Statesville, NC; one daughter, Mary T. Humphreys and her husband Mike of Arlington, VA; one sister, Jane Hollingsworth of GA; five grandchildren, Patrick Harmon, Hallie and Hannah Langley, Miles and Mara Humphreys.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 17, 2008, from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM with prayers at 7:30PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at 1PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pomfret, MD. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
