Lori Louise Chesser Cromwell, 48 of Great Mills, MD passed away September 24, 2008. Lori was the wife of Nickolas Cromwell, and the daughter of Ralph and Lois Chesser of FL.
Lori attended Town Creek Elementary, Esperanza Middle, and St. Mary's Academy High School. She then went on to Towson University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. Lori worked in her father's Seven Eleven until she was able to make her own way and franchise her own Seven Eleven, eventually owning a second store for several years. She had over three and a half decades of service in the franchise. Lori was a loving, endearing wife and mother who loved sports of all kinds. A year didn't pass when she wasn't seen at the Redskins football games or NASCAR races. She also attended countless sporting events of her children, Chris and Mary. She served as a board member for the Southern Maryland Athletic Little League (SMALL) while her son Chris played baseball for many years. Lori was a true nurturer, always thinking of everyone else's needs before her own. Lori loved traveling with her husband and children to the Caribbean islands, including cruises and trips to Jamaica, Mexico, Bahamas, and the U.S Virgin Islands. She enjoyed relaxing with her family in her vacation home in the Deep Creek Lake area of Western Maryland. She loved watching movies and her favorite sitcoms, while spending quality time with her family. She was the loving and caring mother of Hilary Hartenstein of Lexington Park, MD, Christopher Spak and Mary Spak of Great Mills, MD, step-mother to Thomas Cromwell and Taylor Cromwell of Brooksville, FL, and sister of Stephen Chesser of Cape Coral, FL. Lori's Life celebration was held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be conducted today, Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Patuxent Presbyterian Church, 23421 Kingston Creek Road, California, MD with Reverend Mike Jones officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to an account established for the children of Lori Cromwell in care of Maryland Bank and Trust Bank, P.O.
