Blanche Virginia Elmo, 87 of Hughesville, MD died on September 14, 2008 at Calvert Hospital, Prince Frederick, MD.
Born on September 22, 1920 in Bristow, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mamy Cornwell Breeden. Ms. Elmo was a Bookkeeper for over 30 years for Marche's Florist in Hyattsville, MD. She has resided in this area for 7 years. In 1943 Ms. Elmo came to Washington, DC and worked in the Government Printing Office. Also resided in Annapolis, MD and had a beach house in Point Lookout. She was one of the first winners of the State of MD Lottery. Her enjoyments were playing bingo, cooking, and family. Beloved wife of the late, Angelo F. Elmo and loving mother of Barbara Rhodes. Survived by granddaughters, Deborah Summers, Laura and Angela Able, and Catherine Therres, 9 great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. Family will receive friends in Blanche's Life Celebration on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 5-8PM with prayers at 7PM in Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 11AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bryantown, MD. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
