Sadie Agnes Drummond of Dunkirk, MD passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018, at the age of 80. She was born on August 24, 1937, in Croom, MD to Mary Agnes [Thomas] and Benjamin F. Rawlings. Sadie was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and a friend to all she met.

She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved to laugh and loved to dance. It has been a difficult and heartbreaking time for her and her family, as this terrible disease has stolen the last several years of her precious life. Sadie was a resident of Dunkirk for the last six years. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and NASCAR, especially Tony Stewart. She also was a fan of country music and enjoyed keeping up with her favorite country music star Vince Gill.

She was the loving mother of Donna Comstock (Ken) of Gold Canyon, AZ, Debbie Ashen of Owings, MD, Sandy Wells (Donnie) of Dunkirk, MD, Lisa Drummond, La Plata, MD, the late Maryann Henderson and Brenda Nelson. Sadie was the sister of Deloris Powell, Betty Vermillion, the late Joe Rawlings, George Rawlings, Earl Rawlings, Russell Rawlings, Mary Foster and Grace Sibley. She was the devoted grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736, on Tuesday, August 14 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm; where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 15 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Chesapeake Highlands Memorial Gardens, 3270 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD 20676.
