Robert Warren Wells, 83, of Broomes Island, MD passed away on August 20, 2008 at Georgetown University Hospital.

Born March 24, 1925 in Washington DC to the late Benjamin and Charity Comer Freeman Steed. Mr. Wells served in the Army during WWII, being stationed in England, Manila and Northern France from 1943 thru 1946. He received the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon and the WWII Victory Ribbon.

He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Port Republic, Md and past Vestryman, Jr. Warden and Treasurer of St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Seat Pleasant, Md.

Beloved husband of Sarah Frances Wells, father of Sheryl Wells-Lynch and Steven Michael Wells (Janet). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brendan Lynch, Meghan Shaver (Jeff), Jessica Natalie (Brian) and Jared Wells and great grandson Dylan Shaver.

A Memorial services will be held on Sunday August 24, 2008, 2 P.M. at Christ Episcopal Church, 3100 Broomes Island Port Republic MD. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church.
