Mr. Miles was a Laundry Routeman for 40 years with Elite Laundry in Washington, D.C. and later with Town & Country Laundry in Bethesda, MD. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and playing cards. He never met a stranger and was liked by all, especially children who knew him as "the Candy Man."

He was son of the late James Miles and the late Annie Hyde Miles.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ann E. Hair Miles, one son, Kenneth W. (Jacquelyn) Miles of Kent Island, MD, five grandchildren, Angela McCarthy, Heather Aliff, and Jason, Joshua, and Jessica Miles, and six great-grandchildren, Grace, Corey, Trevor, Hadley, Christian, and Cohen.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2008 from 2-5pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

A Funeral Service will follow on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 11am at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Clergy will be the Bishop Duane Volk. Interment will take place at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
