Raymond Paul Weigand, 72 of St. Clements Shores, Leonardtown, Maryland died at his residence on November 22, 2006 after a brief illness.

He was born on December 4, 2006 in Altoona, PA to the late Leo and Thelma Hetrick Weigand. He graduated from Altoona High School and served two years in the U.S. Army in Korea.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie Ann King whom he married on January 26, 1957 at St. Johns Catholic Church at Lakemont in Altoona, PA. He is also survived by his children; Thomas A. Weigand of Davidsonville, MD, Timothy A. Weigand of Easton, MD, Susan E. Weigand of Drums, PA and John P. Weigand of Baltimore, MD.

Ray spent his entire career in retail sales. He worked for Blair's, Sparling's shoe department, McKay Implements, Leonardtown Tobacco Growers, Dean Lumber and most recently with Burch Mart.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier in Leonardtown where he was a member of the outstanding church choir. He was also a member of The Knights of Columbus and St. Francis Xavier Missionary Council. He enjoyed all sports especially Penn State Football and Maryland Basketball.

A Visitation was held on Sunday, November 26, 2006 from 2 – 5 p.m. with prayers recited at 4:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, November 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Leonardtown. Reverend John Mattingly was the celebrant.
