Meredith Wood "Reb" Fowkes, 68, of Dameron, MD died July 20, 2008 in Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC.

Born March 3, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Merle Fowkes and Magie (Olah) Fowkes.

Reb is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen (Seddon) Fowkes, and his sons; Daniel H. Fowkes of Lexington Park, MD, David M. Fowkes of Naples, FL, and Daryl Fowkes of Dameron, MD and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Merle Fowkes.

Relatives and friends are invited to Meredith "Reb" Fowkes Life Celebration in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown on Thursday, July 24, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside service with military honors will be on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
