Beverly, Michael Lamont (Age 33) of Waldorf, Maryland.

Suddenly, on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Prince Georges Hospital Center in Cheverly, Maryland, Michael Lamont Beverly entered into eternal peace.

Michael was born on February 22, 1975 in La Plata, Maryland to Shirley Smothers and Joseph Beverly.

He was educated in the Charles County Public School System graduating from La Plata High School in La Plata, Maryland. While in High School he played as a point guard for the La Plata Warriors Basketball Team. After graduating he continued his education and enrolled in a Technical Trade School for three years. Michael was a Certified Welder and was employed with Harman Builders for a number of years.

Although Michael enjoyed playing basketball and hanging out with his friends his passion was racing his motorcycle. He loved to race and would go anywhere to do it. His riding buddies were, Lamont Turner, Tyrone Thomas and Marvin Posey just to name a few.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Mary Smothers and uncle William (Billy) Smothers.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his children, Deandre and Taylor; his fiancé', April, brother, Kalin, sister, Bianca, aunts, Debra (Shelton) and Alnita, uncles, Kit, Pernell (LaTonya), Alphonso, Deon (Paula), Jeffrey and Butch, two great-great aunts: Elizabeth Clark and Blanch Hill, a host great aunts, a great uncle, numerous cousins (favorite cousin, Antwan Ross) and other relatives and friends.

His Viewing will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 15848 Rock Point Road, Issue, Maryland. Interment Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., Pomonkey, Maryland.
