Edward Joseph Bahen, 61, formerly of Frostburg, died Friday, October 20, 2006 at his home in Waldorf, Md.

Born June 14, 1945 in Frostburg, he was the son of Alice (James) Bahen and the late Martin J. Bahen of Frostburg.

Mr. Bahen was retired from the United Parcel Service after 35 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for six years. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf. He belonged to several organizations; Frostburg K of C (3rd Degree), Cumberland K of C (4th Degree), Waldorf American Legion #293, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters # 639.

In addition to his mother, Alice Bahen, Frostburg he is survived by his wife Sally (Donius) Bahen, three sons; Jeffrey Bahen, Baltimore, Matthew Bahen, Waldorf, and Michael Bahen, Waldorf; one brother Jack Bahen and wife Catherine, Aiken, SC; one sister Florence Haselberger, West Mifflin, PA.

Friends were received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 West Main Street, Frostburg on Monday October 23 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass was held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 44 East Main Street, Frostburg with Rev. Patrick Besel.

The Frostburg Knights of Columbus 1442 conducted a service on Monday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment was in Frostburg Memorial Park. Military honors were accorded by the Waldorf American Legion 293 and the American Legion Farrady Post 24.

There was a memorial service on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at the Waldorf American Legion, Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD from 6 to 9 p.m.
