On Thursday, June 19, 2008, while a patient at Civista Medical Center, Mary S. Muschette of LaPlata, Maryland quietly entered eternal life.
Mary was born on June 11, 1931 to the late William and the late Lorise Ella Hawkins in Bel Alton, Maryland. Mary attended Charles County Public Schools and was a lifelong resident of Charles County, MD. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Newtown, MD where she sang in the choir and was a communion steward. In addition, Mary was also a member of The Willing Helpers Society and TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). She enjoyed cooking, ceramics and gardening. Mary was employed by Sacred Heart Catholic Church as a Chief Cook. She also spent time as a Caregiver. However, Mary's biggest accomplishment was raising and nurturing ten children. She loved her family and enjoyed her time with them especially at family gatherings. She will be remembered as a kind and fun loving woman. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sisters, Eloise Farmer, Gertrude Wheeler and Henrietta Dorsey, and brother-in-law, John Dorsey. Left to cherish many memories are her children, Kenny Watson, Chris Gross, Pat Chase, Jeffery Chase, Alfred Muschette, Lenora Williams, Helen Jennifer, Maxine Bowman, Edith Chase and Deneane Chase, twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, sons-in-law, Tommy Jennifer and Melvin Brown, daughters-in-law, Keisha Gross, Myisha Chase and Donna Conwell, sisters, Claralee Swann and Lillian Livers, brothers-in-law, Joseph Farmer, William Wheeler, Daniel Swann and George Livers, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her viewing will take place on Wednesday, June 25th, 9:00a.m. until home going services 11:00a.m., LaPlata United Methodist Church, LaPlata, MD.
