Virginia Agnes Catterton was born December 29, 1914 in Paris, MD, now part of Owings, Maryland, the daughter of the late Irving and Kathryn Catterton.

She was a life-long resident of Calvert County. On January 3, 1938 she married Calvert William Norfolk. She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked with her husband on Meadow Run Farm with Billandale Dairy.

During the 1970's she worked as a dental assistant to Dr. Kenneth Kates. She attended Smithville Church, was a member of Smithville WSCS and taught a children's Sunday School class for many years.
