Mr. Wines was a Prosthetist/ Orthotist with the J.E. Hanger Company of Washington D.C. for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed Redskins football, movies, and politics. He was known as a people person and was liked by all. In his last years, he assisted in taking care of his mother-in-law.

He was the son of the late Elmo T. Wines, Sr. and the late Mary Welby Teel Wines

Mr. Wines was predeceased by his parents, two sons, Danny Elmo Wines and David R. Wines, and one sister, Charlotte Wines.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Sydnor Wines, one son, George Thomas Wines of Waldorf, Md., two grandchildren, Kayla M. and David R. Wines, Jr.

Funeral Service and Interment were private.
