James Francis Kleyle Jr., 47, of La Plata, MD passed away on March 12, 2016 at home. James was born on September 11, 1968 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late James Francis Kleyle and Patricia Moore Kleyle.

James is survived by his loving wife, Karen; sister, Barbara Kleyle Maljak; nieces, Emily Louise Maljak and Kaitlin Jamie Maljak; and his beloved dogs, Titus Andronicus and Slainte Bean Kleyle.

James received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Duquesne University and a Master of Science in Special Education from Loyola University Maryland. He was a member of the Port Tobacco Players; Youth Group at Real Life Wesleyan Church; Pathfinder Club (the Bard); and The Chamberlain's Men (co-founder). He was employed by CCBOE as an English teacher at Lackey High School.

James was interested in live theater and liked directing and acting in musicals and dramas with his local community theater groups, Port Tobacco Players, Hard Bargain Players, Real Life Wesleyan Church and The Chamberlain's Men. He also enjoyed writing, traveling, reading, tutoring, snow skiing, Shakespeare and everything renaissance.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD; Prayers will be held at 7PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11AM at the Real Life Wesleyan Church, 27399 Old Village Rd., Mechanicsville, MD. Arrangements provided by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
