Jeanne Lorraine Gunnell of Waldorf, Maryland died on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. She was 77 years old.

Born on January 10, 1931 in Washington, DC to the late Ruth Ward and the late Mercier Lowe. Having lived in the Washington Metro area most of her life, she was a homemaker and loving mom who enjoyed drawing, gardening, crocheting and reading. She was an active member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Waldorf where she was a member of the Friendship Club and worked with the weekly Mother's Day Out Program.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Mercier Lowe.

She is survived by her children Robert Gunnell Jr of Shady Side, MD, Timothy Gunnell of Waldorf, MD, Mark Gunnell of Glen Burnie, MD, Lorri Gunnell Moats of Berkeley Springs, WVA and Bruce Gunnell of Warfordsburg, PA; sisters Joyce Brown and Jo Ellen Trigiani; brother Robert Lowe; grandchildren Marcy Rhodes, Pam Krug, David Gunnell, Ashleigh Gunnell, Eric Moats and Kristy Moats; great grandchildren McKenzie Krug and Jacob Krug; also by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 9AM until time of service at 11AM at the Calvary United Methodist Church 3235 Leonardtown Road Waldorf, MD 20601 with the Reverend Robert D. Carter, Pastor, officiating. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD. Pallbearers are Robert Gunnell Jr, Timothy Gunnell, Mark Gunnell, Bruce Gunnell, David Gunnell and Eric Moats.
