Beulah I. Manning, 99, originally of York, PA, died on Friday, April 25, 2008, at St. Mary's Nursing Center in Leonardtown, MD, of natural causes.

Born April 2, 1909, in York, PA, she was the tenth child of fourteen children born to the late Rev. Hugh Hall and the late Emily Hall.

"Aunt Beulah", as she was lovingly called by family and friends enjoyed daily visits with her nephew, Donald E. Hall, to whom she entrusted her care upon her move from York to Maryland almost 10 years ago. She also enjoyed receiving communion and times of fellowship with special friends from Shiloh Community United Methodist Church in Newburg, MD.

Ms. Manning was educated in the public schools of York, PA, and was a home maker. She was a loyal and faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church in York, which was founded by her mother, Emily Hall, in their home. Ms. Manning was the oldest living member of Shiloh Baptist Church in York, and she remained committed to her church until her move to Boston, MA later in her life. As her health began to decline, she moved with and was lovingly cared for by her niece, Zane Brown of York until her later move to Maryland.

She leaves to celebrate her legacy of 99 years, her primary caregiver, nephew, Donald (Joan) Hall of Newburg, MD, nieces, Zane Brown, Constance Scott, and Carolyn (Larry) Williams all of York, PA, special nephew, The Honorable Judge William N. Hall, Jr. of Reading, PA, three special companions and friends, Mazie Butler and Ida Mae Thomas of Newburg, MD, and Ms. Irma Colston, of York, PA, a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2008, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Shiloh Community United Methodist Church in Newburg with prayers at 7 PM. The Rev. Marvin Wamble, Pastor, will officiate.

A Viewing and Funeral Service will follow on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Shiloh Baptist Church in York, PA. Viewing will be from 9 AM until time of service at 11 AM. The Rev. Dr. Jazmin Skulark is Senior Pastor.
