Ralph Charles Grabis, Sr., 77, of Charlotte Hall, MD died on October 23, 2015 at Med Star St. Mary's Hospital. Leonardtown, MD. He was born July 17, 1938 in Washington, DC to the late John Peter and Barbara Mary Therres Grabis.

He retired from the Federal Government where he worked as a power engineer for the department of Navy. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid baseball fan who loved watching the sport and coaching little league. He enjoyed playing cards and traveling to New York to visit friends.

In addition to his parents Ralph is preceded in death by one son Donald Allen Grabis; one granddaughter Melissa Sue Demarr and eleven siblings.

He is survived by one son Ralph "Charles" Grabis, Jr. and his wife Margot; one daughter Belinda Grabis and her husband Byron Flynn; five grandchildren, Bruce Demarr, Taylor Grabis, Austin Grabis and his wife Chelsea, Jhet Grabis and Gabrielle Grabis; four great grandchildren and three sisters, Catherine "Kitty" Burch, Mary Alice Bradley and her husband Brad and Mary Jo Cusick.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646 where an additional visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 9:30 - 10:15 AM, followed by a procession to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
