George "Georgie" Cullins Guy, 69, of Hamptonville, North Carolina and formerly of Avenue, Maryland passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Monday, September 28, 2015. Born on September 26, 1946 in Leonardtown, Maryland he is the son of the late Joseph Mattingly and Alice Isabelle Cullins Guy. He attended Margaret
Brent High School in Helen, Maryland.

He loved driving tractor trailers and was in the trucking profession for over 40 years. He was kindhearted and would give anyone the shirt off his back in the time of need. He always thought of others before himself.

Georgie was preceded in death by sister, Rose Marie Guy; brother, Joe Matts Guy and brother-in-law, Jimmy Farrell. He is survived by his wife, Olivia Jarvis Guy; daughters Kristie Guy, Nikki (Tim) Wesner, Megan (Joe) Hall; and grandchildren, Isaiah Moreno, McKayla Moreno, Ainsley Moreno, Jayden Wesner, Brennen Wesner, Aubrey Hall, Talen Hall and Rylen Hall. Siblings: two sisters, Isabel (Donald) Williams and Carolyn Farrell; two brothers, Donnie (Marsha) Guy and Deane (Linda) Guy; a sister-in-law, Lou Guy, his loving nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives. He had two K-9 companions, OJ and JW that he adored.

A private service was held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Gentry Family Funeral Home, Yadkinville, North Carolina.
