Louis S. Diana, 88, was ushered into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 29, 2015 at Sagepoint Assistant Living surrounded by his family and best friend. Louis was born February 5, 1927 in Camigliano, Italy to the late John Anthony and Angelina Audino Diana. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son John Diana and a sister Josephine Paolinsky. He came to the United States at the age of 2.

Louis worked at Mesta Machine in Pittsburgh, PA as a General Superintendent before retiring in 1981. He and his wife Pola moved to Englewood, FL in 1986 and resided there till 2009 when they moved to La Plata.

He was an active member of the Clark Senior Center where he made many great friends and enjoyed shooting pool. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a devoted lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Louis is survived by his loving wife Jean of 66 years; two daughters, Lorraine R. Diana and her husband Bob Guite and Jeanne and her husband Mark Smith; Sister Toni Nolan; Grandson Keith Merranlio and his wife Sarah and two great-grandchildren, Julia and Andrew. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Mary Jo Bensasi, Paul Plolinsky, David, John, Anne and Joan Nolan; grandsons Louis, Erik, Sean and Mike Diana and their children. He is also survived by several grand-nieces and nephews.

A Memorial gathering will be on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to Hospice of Charles County, 2505 Davis Road, Waldorf, MD 20603. Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service.
