Catherine Ophelia Thorne, age 96, of Bryans Road, MD, died on September 23, 2015 at the Sagepoint Assisted Living in La Plata, MD.

She is the daughter of John F. Dent and Catherine Claggett Dent.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 10AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at the St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 30 Mattingly Avenue, Indian Head, MD 20640. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.
