Carolyn Lee Taylor, 52 of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2008, at her residence.

Born November 9, 1955 in Laurence, SC, she was the daughter of Minnie Lee Lyons Butler and the late Robert C. Butler.

Mrs. Taylor moved to St. Mary's county in 1981. Carolyn was a Manager for one of Burch Oil, Company's Amoco Gas Stations. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting antiques and the Country Diva's store at farmers market; she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also loved spoiling her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 34 years, Donald J. Taylor, Sr., children; Elizabeth L. Stephens, (Jerry), Donald J. Taylor, Jr., and Kelly J. Wathen, (Perry), siblings; Brenda Hodges, Ricky Butler, David Butler and Stevie Butler, grandchildren; Brittany and Allison Taylor and Austin, Christina and Megan Wathen, also survived by her Aunt Pauline Griswald and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. Charlotte Hall, MD 20622
Where Carolyn's Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 10AM with Reverend Curtis Eaby officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD
